Hi I'm Cody McCarrey

I'm a Mechanical Engineering student, a Husband, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 24 years old going to school at Brigham Young University Idaho. I'm working on getting a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. I grew up working on cars and I would someday like to work for a car company as a design engineer. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 2 years. No kids yet, but once we finish school things will change. I am currently a counselor in the presidency over the Sunday school for the congregation I attend.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church. It's what my parents have always done and I just went along with it. But as I got older I started to question myself about why am I really here and when the time came to make the decision to serve a mission I needed to know for sure what I believed before I went out sharing it. I prayed to know if what I was about to go out and share was the right thing for the world to here. I never got a big vision or strong feeling I just had a bunch of memories pop into my head of times when I felt good about being a member of this church. And as it says in Moroni 7, anything that is good is sent by the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by striving everyday to be more Christlike. I work to keep the commandments of God to better my life and the lives of those around me.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Cody McCarrey
Missionaries go door to door and talk with everyone on the street because they know the Book of Mormon is true and they know that it can change the life of anyone who reads it. They want everyone to partake in the same blessings that bless their families. Show more Show less
