Hi I'm Bradley Rhoades

I'm an Idaho boy. Love sports and the outdoors. I'm a missionary. I love my savior. I'm a normal person... and I'm also a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping or just anything in the hills you name it. Nature is one of the coolest things ever, just to think that God created all of it in seven days just blows my mind. Sports are another thing that I love! Any sport you name it, I will try. I am super competetive. I am currently serving a mission and serving the lord in the Colorado Denver South Mission. I entered the MTC on June 19, 2013. I love being a missionary! Being on a mission and serving has truly brought me to know and draw closer to my savior Jesus Christ. I was born and raised in the church, but I truly had to come to know it was true for myself. Everybody is a convert, we all have to gain our own testimonies. We can only rely on our parents testimonies for so long until you have to truly find out for yourself.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and what a blessing it has been. But I didn't always realize what a blessing it was. I finally realized that this church was true when I was 17. I was a very rebelious and wild teenager who was just still trying to find out who I really was and who I wanted to become. After partying for quite some time and not making the best of choices, I eventually got caught with underage drinking and stealing. Well while I was doing all of this, it seemed right and I felt like I was having fun and that this is what life was all about. But after I was caught it slapped me in the face and truly humbled me to the dust. I was in the lowest of lows. When all the sudden my cousin Cade popped into my life and we became the best of friends. There was truly a light about him, just something about him that made me really want to change. So through his righteous example, I started going to church, willingly, and praying to god. And I truly developed a personal relationship with god. I still didn't know the church was true or not but I knew god was there. But I did want to know if it was true, so I did what everybody told me to do. And that was to pray about it and truly ask in prayer if it is true and the holy ghost will make it manifest unto you if it is true. I did just that, I prayed in the woods and the most peaceful and joyful feeling came over me. From that day forward I've known this is the true restored church on the Earth. Now I am out telling others about it!

How I live my faith

While I serve my mission everyday I experience first hand the miracles of god. This gospel is the true restored gospel here on earth! I know this and I have seen this gospel change the lives of people! It brings so much joy and happiness into the lives of his children. This gospel gives us a guide and direction in our lives so that we can live with our father in heaven and Jesus Christ again! I live my faith by serving my lord on a mission for two years of my life. I give up everything my family, friends, phone, ect. and I dedicate myself to the lord. And share the news of this great restored gospel to all of the people I come into contact with! This church is true, I know that if you pray about it and read the Book of Mormon the holy ghost will testify to you. Just like it says it John 14:26. I also live my faith by following and obeying the laws and commandments that the lord has given us to. It truly is hard and frustrating sometimes but through faith, prayer and person experience I have come to find out that TRUE happiness is found through obeying they lords commandments and serving others! In Mosiah, which is a book in the Book of Mormon, chapter 2 verses 17-21 it talks about how when we are in the service of our fellow man we are in the service of our god. I truly take that into consideration each day as I go out as a missionary, not only do missionaries preach this gospel but we also just look for ways to serve in the community and serve our brothers and sisters!
