Hi I'm Laura

I'm a registered nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a third culture child - I grew up living the international life, moving to different countries every couple of years. I have lived in the United States, the Philippines, Guatemala, Brazil, and Chile. In a few months I will serve an LDS mission in Mexico. I recently graduated from nursing school with my Bachelor's of Science with a Nursing Emphasis. I can't get enough of musical theater and can usually be found singing, no matter the time or place. I love seeing the beauty in life and the good in others.

Why I am a Mormon

The beautiful truth I have come to learn is that God is real, that He loves each person with a perfect divine love, and that He answers prayers. I have received answers to my prayers, and I know the teachings of the LDS Church are true. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has brought an incredible peace and joy into my life, unlike anything else I have experienced. It gives me a sense of self-worth and increases my love for others. I have learned about and developed a meaningful relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. As I develop that relationship through prayer, I find an inner strength that can get me through any hard time. I believe that being a Mormon has helped me become a better person and live an uplifting life.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to become a better person. Though I am far from perfect, I try to follow the example of our Savior Jesus Christ and live a life focused on serving others. My faith is an integral part of my life and makes me who I am. I go to church every week where I share my faith and experiences, study the scriptures, learn from others, and strengthen my commitment to God.
