Hi I'm Emily

I am a college student. a musician, I love my family and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student who loves the gospel and tries to live it everyday. I love my family and friends. I play the clarinet and love anything Disney

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and his Son and he restored the gospel to the earth. I know this because i feel that its true. Just because I did not see it does not mean that it is not true believing in things that are not seen but are true is what having faith is. My heavenly Father answers my prayers and is constantly helping me in this earthly life. The blessings that this church brings: having a living prophet on this earth to lead an guide us, having the temples to be sealed to our families for time and all eternity and the plan of happiness to live with out father in heaven again. These are only a few of the blessings that our church brings. I cannot see how with everything good that this church brings how it could be band or wrong. The Book of Mormon is a true testament of Christ and brings teachings lessons, light, and love to all those who read it and i can testify of that. The happiness that this religion brings to me and everyone it touches is a light among nations.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the commandants and following the teachings that our Lord and savior have given to us. I love my calling being in the Relief Society presidency and serving the women in my singled ward. I try hard to be an example to everyone around me to show them that life is something to be happy about and how they can live happily with an understanding of the plan of salvation. I try to live like my favorite hymn "Have I Done Any Good?" “223: Have I Done Any Good?,” Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, no. 223 1. Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad? If not, I have failed indeed. Has anyone’s burden been lighter today Because I was willing to share? Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way? When they needed my help was I there? [Chorus] Then wake up and do something more Than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, A blessing of duty and love. 2. There are chances for work all around just now, Opportunities right in our way. Do not let them pass by, saying, “Sometime I’ll try,” But go and do something today. ’Tis noble of man to work and to give; Love’s labor has merit alone. Only he who does something helps others to live. To God each good work will be known.
