Hi I'm Michelle

I love being outdoors. I love to learn. I'm preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second child of four and I love spending my time with my family. I also enjoy playing the piano and flute even if I'm not the best. Music is a great way for me to relax. I also love being active. I played soccer all throughout junior high and high school and I continue to do it for fun in college. I just finished my freshman year of college and I am excited to go back and learn more. However, I am putting it on hold for a little while as I am currently preparing to serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon faith. My parents are Mormon and so when I was younger I didn't question things. It was just what we did. However, as I grew older I realized that not everyone shared my beliefs and I needed to know for myself if this was the truth. I learned about the church in earnest and as I did I felt a wonderful peace that allowed me to know this was the truth. However, the clincher came as I learned about Jesus Christ. As I learned about Him my love for Him grew and I began to understand his love for me. I am a Mormon because of my love for Jesus, but more importantly because of his love for me. I will never renounce Him and I will always follow Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my family and friends and striving to always have an uplifting and positive attitude. Many times I find that the best way to serve people is to spend time with them and get to know them. I also do anything that I am asked to do in the ward. Over the years I have done many things. Most recently I have been teaching the 8-9 year olds in the ward. In the past I have helped plan activities for the girls in the ward, ranging from 12-18, in order to create close friendships and feelings of acceptance. We would do anything from a service project to playing games to going on a hike. In addition I have also visited two ladies in my ward. I would check up on them to make sure they are doing well and if they need anything I was more than happy to provide it.
