Hi I'm Seth

I was born in Alaska, grew up in Utah, love Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Academics, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies include playing basketball, and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I also love school and gaining a worthwhile education. Some subjects I particularly love are math, neurology, and literature. My love for literature comes from my love for the arts, such as movies and popular novels. Math sparks my interest because of its puzzle like nature. I love that math, unlike English courses, have a definitive answer to a problem, and it's enjoyable to solve the answer and to know that you discovered it for yourself. I also love neurology because I've always been interested with the traits, characteristics, and actions that result from chemical processes in the human brain. Having the ability to help others through neurology, whether it be by psychiatry or surgery, will be physically and mentally taxing, but the rewards and priviliges of during so are indescribable.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the faith I have in the restoration of the church and in the Book of Mormon, and also because of the guidance, reassurance, and happiness that comes from being a member of the Church. The Church also provides hope. Whenever I am feeling discouraged because of the trials that I must face, the love from the leaders, the guidance of the Holy Ghost, and validity of the Book of Mormon always help to pick me up and support me through all of my afflictions. The surety I have in this Gospel's truthfulness prevents confusion and helps pave a path for me in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meeting every Sunday in order to receive the blessings of the sacrament and the many great lessons taught by the teachers and speakers. I also participate in church meetings by giving talks and teaching lessons when asked to do so. I also strive to obey all the commandments of God, not because I'm afraid of the punishments or consequences that result in the disobedience thereof, but because I want to show my love for my Heavenly, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, my family, and others who are close to me. Show we may not receive the blessings of obedience immediately, God will reward us for living our lives in accordance with His law and His will.
