Hi I'm Austin

I'm a pretty average guy. I have grown up in Utah. I have been called to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I am Austin. My life is that of a pretty regular Utah Mormon's: Born in the Covenant, baptized at the age of eight, and now I am going on a mission. I am serving a mission in New Zealand. At home, I have three younger brothers and three younger sister; I love my family. I love all sports and can play any of them decently, but I am definitely an amateur; a jack of all trades, king of none. As long as there are other people to chill with, I'll do pretty much whatever. I get along with everyone relatively well and will gladly help whomever needs it. I love discussing movies, music, or pretty much any type of media. Most of the time, before my mission, I liked just driving around for hours. Occasionally, someone would want to talk, so I'd listen. I have a few friends so I must be doing something right.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I have grown up in the Church, but that is not why I am a member of Christ's Church. When I was at the lowest point in my life, I felt as if life was pointless to me, but then I felt our Father's love, as well as Christ's. The comfort I was given is indescribable. I am a member because I know of that love. I am a missionary because I want to share that love with those who have not received it yet.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week to renew covenants by taking the sacrament; these are promises I made with God when I was baptized in the name of the Godhead. From the age of 12-18, I went to mutual every week where a lot of youth gather together to play a game and learn a gospel principle, it is my favorite place to be. I love Christ's church. Everywhere I go, I represent Christ because I am a member of His Church. We do not just preach a religion. We teach the truth because that is what we know it to be. We know, not because someone told us, but because we asked God ourselves; as the Book of Mormon(Another Testament of Christ) tells us to do in Moroni 10:4. Yes, I go to church and my family has always done that, but I know the blessings which I receive from God because of that.
