Hi I'm Kiara Chong

I was born and raised in Hawai'i. I was called to serve the Lord on a full time mission in Fiji. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I attended a high school intended for those of Hawaiian ancestry and with that I am proud to be Hawaiian. Through high school I learned about my Hawaiian culture and because of it I have a great interest in learning about other cultures throughout the world. I then attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and have gained great respect for all the different cultures and backgrounds people come from. I have just recently been called to serve a full time mission in Fiji and I can't wait to learn about the people and their culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I believe that we came from somewhere and after we die there is a place after this life. It gives me purpose and comfort knowing that this isn't it! With a purpose in life it makes me want to do my best and be the best person I can be. I know that Heavenly Father created a plan for us so we can return to love with Him again someday. I know that Jesus Christ came and atoned for our sins creating that pathway back to our Heavenly Father. I know the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ because I have read it from cover to cover and the Holy Ghost has testified it unto me and I have no doubt in my heart it is true.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday I attend church for 3 hours. In church my calling was to plan different events for the women to come out and have fun and get to know each other. It's such a joy to see the women of the church getting along and getting to know more about each other. Along with planning events, I go and visit 2-3 sisters in the church once a month just take check and see how they're doing and offer any service. It's such a huge part of our church to give service to others and just offer any help that anyone needs.
