Hi I'm Jenna

I grew up in the Great White North! I'm a wife, daughter, sister and aunt. I love my family, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love gut-wrenching laughter, powerful literature, baby animals of any kind, autumn afternoons, summer days, belting out a good show tune and being goofy with my husband. I appreciate quiet moments of reflection, the majesty of nature, and recognizing God's hand in my life. I believe in miracles.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents both converted to the church when they were teenagers. I was born into the church, and baptized when I was eight. I gained my own testimony when I was about thirteen years old. I had a desire to know if this church was true, for myself. I got on my knees, and asked my Heavenly Father if it was. In response, I received a witness stronger and more powerful than words. It is a witness that cannot be shaken by man's reason or rhetoric, because this witness was not given to me by man, but by God. Nothing can or will ever take this from me. Because of this, I know that this is the church that was established by Jesus Christ when he was on the earth, and restored by Joseph Smith. I know this is the full and complete gospel of Jesus Christ. I know this like I know the sun will rise tomorrow. The more I learn about the gospel, the more I pray, the more I serve others, the more I read The Bible and Book of Mormon, the more clarity I have. In a world that is increasingly riddled by confusion, fear, doubt and cynicism, the gospel gives me a firm anchor. When challenges come as they do to all of us, I know the gospel allows me to feel peace amidst chaos. I know that I can experience real and lasting joy because the gospel provides me with an eternal perspective that is made stronger every time I feel God's spirit speak to me. I know that because of the restored gospel, the love I have for my husband and my family can last forever into eternity. My faith in Him allows me to find strength in weakness, beauty in the ordinary, perspective in pain, and answers to my life's questions. I know I am a child of God. I know my life has purpose and meaning. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I am forever grateful for this. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to let my faith be evident in everything I do. I believe in the power and strength of virtue, and I try to make sure that how I act and speak reflect this belief. I live my faith through service, whenever and wherever I can. Currently, I am a Sunday School teacher for youth ages 16-17. I love teaching the youth! They are incredible examples to me of Christlike love, honesty and moral courage.
