Hi I'm Cody

I am from Bountiful Utah. I'm 19, a goofball and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I played football and baseball in high school and I love to watch people play them. Sports, music, friends and family are my life. I love music, I have a song for every situation. I believe songs express thoughts and feelings better then I ever could with words. I am the second oldest of 5 kids and my parents have been happily married for 20 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy plus it just makes life easier. It gives me the peace and comfort I need to make it through the day. It gives me guidance and hope in every single situation with out fail. I know that the church is lead by a prophet of God. I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father. I know he has a plan for each and everyone of us. I know Christ is my brother. That he died for me and for you. That he too loves each and everyone of us. That he died for our sins and to know our pains and sufferings. I've realized when all is said and done all we have is our family and our beliefs to get you through the end of the day. I am a Mormon cause it gives me more hope than any other thing. With out it I don't really have anything. The gospel helps me with everything and anything!

How I live my faith

I have attended the temple at least once a week ever week since I was 12. I only missed twice when I was sick and when I was on a cruise in Mexico. I love going to the temple and I am sad I can no longer attend weekly because there is not a temple near by. It has been such a great blessing in my life and I've been so lucky to have that privilege. I have served as a deacon's and teacher's quorum president, home teacher and currently full time missionary. I also served for a year on a youth council in my stake. We planned all the youth activities and set up service projects. I love to work and I have realized the gospel is one of work. No better way to live my faith then to actually do it.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Try it out. Test it. Practice what the gospel teaches and ask God if it is right. He loves you and will give you a true answer. God is the source of all knowledge, why not go to the direct source? Find out for yourself. Pray to him. As you do what God asks you to do he will confirm to you that it is true. You will just feel it is right and know it is true. You will be happier then you have ever been. Show more Show less
