Hi I'm Madison Andrus

I am currently serving a mission in Málaga Spain. I am a student a BYU-Idaho. I have a great family and love them so much!

About Me

I love to be outdoors: swimming, jogging, snowboarding, and much more. I love spending time with my family, we do so much together. I have raised five Guide Dogs for the Blind. And have been a lifeguard at a local waterpark the past two summers. I am a student at Brigham Young University - Idaho. I am serving a mission in the Málaga Spain mission, and I will be returning home this coming May. I love The Gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that His plan is perfect.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has always believed in Christ. I grew up in this gospel and learned to have faith and believe in God. I know that choosing to become a member of this church, through baptism, was a great decision. Then while in my youth, I have been through many trials and tests. But through it all, I have learned to keep the faith and put my trust in God. Recently, I have gained the knowledge and truth that comes from reading The Book of Mormon. I have learned of the people, and their trials and tribulations; and that through it all they still believed in God and that He loved them and cared for them.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my ward and the members there. There is always somebody to help and a smile to put on someones face. I also love sharing the gospel. Which is why I am a missionary for this church. I beleive that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that I why I love to share it with the people of Spain.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Madison Andrus
No, not all mormons are required to serve a mission. Many church members consider it a privilege to show their love for other people and the Lord by sharing the gospel. Missionaries generally begin serving when they are 18 to 21 years old. Many retired seniors, men, women, and married couples also serve missions. Missionaries serve from 18 months to 2 years. Missions are voluntary, and missionaries are not paid for their service. Missionaries come from all around the world, and they serve wherever the Church calls them. While serving full-time, missionaries are official representatives of the Church. Show more Show less
