Hi I'm Savana Bowman

I'm Savana, I love my family and I love the Gospel.

About Me

I grew up on a small farm in Utah, most people don't know where Tabiona is, but I think it's Heaven on Earth. I played sports all through high school; Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. In 2007 we won the 1A state championship in basketball by 1 point. After I graduated high school in 2008 I went on and played basketball at the College of Eastern Utah for 2 yrs, and played in Lethbridge Canada for 1 year. I also was a Wild Land Fire Fighter for 3 summers and enjoyed that very much. I'm now married to Daniel Bowman and love him very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a mormon my entire life. I grew up going to church every Sunday with my family. My parents have always had such wonderful testimonies and have always been great examples, but like most teenagers I thought I knew better. When I was 18 I started making lots of mistakes, and I started to really falling away from the gospel. I was 21 and things were just getting worse, then my little sister finally caught me one day and asked me what I was doing. She asked,"why are you doing this to yourself?" I set and pondered on that for a long time, and that was the night my life forever changed. I started to come back into the gospel. The road to doing so was not easy, and it took a lot of time, but I can say with a lot of support through my family, church leaders, and through the healing power of the Atonement I have found my testimony and the happiness that I have never before felt. A year and a half later I met my husband and on May 31st 2013 we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Utah Temple, and that was the greatest day of my life thus far. I have a true testimony of this gospel and I know it is true. I had to stumble and fall to find the truth for myself, but I'm so glad that I did. I have truly felt the healing power of the Atonement in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sticking to the basics of the Gospel. Everything in life starts with the basics. I read my scriptures, say my daily prayers, we have family home evening, attend our regular church meetings, and visit the temple at least 1 time each month. I also try to fulfill as best as I can every church calling I have been given. I try to be kind to everyone I meet, and try to love as Christ loves. I think it's always important to remember that we are all God's Children.
