Hi I'm Alexis

I grew up in Utah and love to sing and play tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Alexis and I love music, sports and being with my friends. I have two older brothers and one younger sister. As a family our favorite activities are boating and going to the Sand Dunes with our sand rail. I am preparing to serve a mission in Mexico this winter. I am excited to serve the Lord for a year and a half. I know the Lord will bless me and my family as I work hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to goodly parents who taught me the Gospel since I was very young. As I grew up I gained my own testimony of the Gospel and found it to be true for myself. I have never doubted the teachings of the Gospel because the Holy Ghost has always testified to me of it's truthfulness, but it has taken a lot of work to strengthen my testimony and to keep it growing. A testimony does not come overnight or from one single experience. I have found that the more spiritual experiences I have the stronger my testimony is. I believe that the key to having those experiences is to always be in a place that will allow the spirit to be with you. I also know that if you are diligently reading your scriptures, praying with a sincere heart, serving those around you and listening to the spirit that your testimony will never falter.

How I live my faith

In my ward I teach 10-11 year old kids about the Gospel. It is a very challenging calling but I love it nonetheless. I have to come up with creative ways to teach the lesson to keep the kids' attention. I love this calling because it gives me the opportunity to be creative and to learn more about the Church. I am also one of three chorister's in my ward. I lead the Hymns every third month for the congregation to sing. I love this calling because I get to serve my ward and do something I love at the same time.
