Hi I'm Kiana

I grew up in four different states. I'm biracial. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four children and have one younger brother and two younger sisters. I grew up all across the United States as my family moved for my father's job. Two of my greatest passions in life are music and reading. I love to sing and have been in a few vocal groups. My love for food and eating has fed my hobby of cooking. I especially love trying new and different recipes and entrées. I enjoy trying new and different activities including polynesian dancing, rock climbing, and playing guitar. I've been going to school at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I've been working toward a double degree in French Studies and Political Science. I hope to go into International law and work as a lawyer helping non-profit organizations and adoption agencies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ brings me closer to Christ and that gives me true joy. I believe that true happiness can only be achieved when following the principles of our Savior. I have read the Book of Mormon in its entirety and prayed to our Heavenly Father to know if it is true. I have received confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true as well as the words of the church's leaders. It is because of this personal confirmation that I have faith and believe. In the Bible the Savior said "By their fruits we shall know them" and I have seen good fruits blossom from the church as well as sown in my own life.

How I live my faith

Most important to living my faith for me is to be a daily follower of Jesus Christ in word, conversation and deed. I strive to cultivate virtues and attributes of Christ such as kindness, hope, charity, patience and more and then act accordingly toward my fellow men. Most recently, I'll be serving a mission in Madagascar for 18 months where I will invite others to come unto Christ and learn more about my church and what I believe in.
