Hi I'm Joanna

I grew up on the prairies of Alberta, Canada. I have a substantial imagination. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've always had a pretty vivid imagination, and growing up on a farm allowed it to flourish. Now that I'm older, I have found that my imagination has stayed with me through the years. I love to write. I love art, from painting and drawing, to sculpting and coloring with crayons. In regards to sports, I had the opportunity to play on the first rugby team at my High School. After the first year of playing, I fell in love with the game and am still an avid enthusiast of it. I recently went to university for the therapy assistant program, but I have postponed my schooling to serve an 18 month mission in Tallahassee, Florida, which I am extremely excited for. At present, I am preparing each day to serve and teach the people of Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family who were already members of the church. When I was young I simply did what my parents and older siblings did, such as going to church or reading scriptures. It wasn't until I was older that I truly saw the blessings that the gospel brought to my life. I began to know for myself the truths that were taught in church, such as the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and of the prophet Joseph Smith translating them and restoring the gospel. I've been blessed many times to feel the love of my Heavenly Father, especially in the times when I didn't feel like I should be loved, or in the times when I didn't feel loved by those around me, which was never true, but He was always there to comfort me and remind me of the love that He, and many others had for me. As I've lived the basic principles of the gospel, my testimony has grown stronger and I know of a surety that this is the true gospel on the earth. I have felt it, and I know it.

How I live my faith

For me, the gospel has always been an integral part of my life. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me has made an amazing impact in my life. It's also amazing to know that I never have to be alone in my trials because I have an elder brother, Jesus Christ who has suffered through the exact same things as I have, by means of the atonement. I have also found that every decision I have made has been based on the doctrines and teachings of the gospel. Each Sunday I attend Church and take in the messages that are taught there. Every time I go I have found myself recharged and ready to take on the coming week. I strive to keep the commandments that our loving Heavenly Father has given us. At times it may seem hard to keep these commandments, but I know that as I pray for help, Heavenly Father will always be there to help me achieve the things that I need to.
