Hi I'm Mikey Steinke

I like play basketball, the piano and video games. Right now I'm a Mormon Missionary.

About Me

I love playing basketball, old Nintendo games and hanging out with my friends. I am a comic book fan; my favorite hero is Batman. I graduated from Clearfield High School in 2012 and then I spent two semesters at the University of Utah. I have been called to serve a full-time mission in the Argentina, Buenos Aires West Mission! Good thing I took Spanish classes in High School!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith, but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I love the gospel and know that it is true. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me because I have felt it. I know that Jesus loves me and that He died for me. He wants for me to keep His commandments and follow the teachings of His church. I also know that we have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who receives direction from the Lord and shares it with us. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and when I study it I can receive divine guidance and insights. I I love all these things. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and I love it! I also participate in the youth activities. I'm striving to prepare myself to serve a mission. I love going to institute, and learning about the Doctrines of the Gospel. I attend the temple as often as my schedule allows.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Mikey Steinke
Technically, the name of the church is 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints'; 'Mormon' is just a nickname. Christ's name is in there, so yes, we do believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that He is the Son of God, that He created the Earth, that lived and died for us, atoned for our sins and was resurrected for us. Show more Show less
