Hi I'm Kylee

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I play the banjo, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. My dad has his own bluegrass band, so i learned to sing and play instruments at a young age. I loved participating in the arts in high school. After I graduated I knew I wanted to be a theater teacher. I moved to a small town in Utah to go to school, when I met my husband John.We were married in 2011 and have been happy ever since! I currently work as a Personal Banker at Wells Fargo Bank, while my husband goes to school. Once he is done, i will finish and begin teaching. We love playing music together, camping, going to the beach, and anything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in Las Vegas I was always 'different' from my peers. I had a group of friends that shared the same beliefs as me, which made it easier to stick to my morals, but the majority of people in school, and other organizations had different beliefs than me. I guess I really found an answer to the question " why am I a Mormon" when I left for college. My parents weren't there to get me out of bed and take me to church, I had to decide for myself if this was what I wanted. I realized for myself that I was doing the right thing that 1st year of college. I decided I didn't want to live a life without this church, because I was happy. It was just that simple.

How I live my faith

I currently participate in my church group as a teacher for 12 and 13 year olds. My husband teaches with me, we absolutely love it. It's so rewarding to see young people wanting to learn and grow. It's amazing to me how much smarter these young kids are than I was growing up! We also visit other members of our church once a month to make sure they are happy healthy etc...
