Hi I'm Melissa Sue

I grew up in California and Utah. I am currently on a mission and worked at a fastfood place. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an aunt. I want to go to college soon but am going on a mission first. I worked at a fast food place. I love to sing and read and I hope to create my own novel at some point in my life. I live in the middle of nowhere currently but used to live in a medium sized city. I want to travel and see not only my own country from a different point of view but see the world for the first time. I want to have a family. I love children and from the time I was a child I wanted to be a mother. I love to crochet and have made many stuffed animal creatures through crocheting. I love to star gaze and cloud gaze but I wish there weren't soo many bugs. I want to learn how to do calligraphy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because first of all I was born and raised in the church. However, the reason I stayed true to the gospel was because I love this faith. I have gone through so many changes in my life and it was nice to know that the gospel was always there for me always the same no matter where I was in my life it would always be the same. The Lord never changes and neither does his gospel. This was the biggest testimony to me that this faith was true. My mother has often said," Even if this gospel wasn't true, which it is, it's a good way to live." And it's true! What other religion has all the rules that we do (because they are good for you) and chooses to follow them? I know that the Book of Mormon is a true record of what happened in America, because I feel it so deeply in my heart that it cannot be explained. That knowledge in my heart spreads to my head. And if that is true then so must the rest of it. I love this gospel and my family and for the knowledge that it provides that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I go to church almost every Sunday and try to help in whatever way I can. I have participated in youth group leadership roles and loved every minute. I loved getting to know the young women and trying to make new friends as well as learning how to become a leader instead of a follower. I try to read my scriptures and say prayers everyday but often fall short. Missionary work is hard but very gratifying I hope to learn more and be able to teach better.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Melissa Sue
It would be a sad world if families could not be together forever. We will all be together in heaven if we live worthy of it. I know that the temple is the one place that I want to be married in because we can be bound together as families forever and never have to worry if we will see one another after this life.
