Hi I'm Amanda

I'm the proud aunt of almost 24 nieces and nephews. I love to play the piano and run in races, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've played the piano for 12 years and I've been teaching it for 2 years. I enjoy running, playing games, being with animals and with my sweet family. My favorite place to be is in a full, crazy house with the people I love most! I have an adorable dog that I enjoy training and playing with. I absolutely love chocolate and cookie dough and ice cream are my biggest weaknesses! I love baking anything yummy! I have loved going to college and hope to go into nursing as a labor and delivery nurse. I'm preparing to serve an LDS mission which I cannot wait to do! I sure love this Gospel with all of my heart :)

Why I am a Mormon

Our world is completely full of change, for both good and bad. So many different whirlwinds pass through our lives, and some of the trials we face are downright hard. But the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the one thing that has remained constant throughout my life. No matter what others' choices are in life, this Gospel always has and always will bring peace because of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who stands at the head of it. His Atonement has made it possible for me, although I continually make mistakes, to get back on the right track and someday live with Christ again, as well as my family, if I choose to repent of my mistakes. I will forever be grateful for Him and His atoning sacrifice. I'm so grateful to have a knowledge of how I can communicate daily with my Father in Heaven. I would be completely lost without His guidance and love I consistently feel. I'm so grateful for the Book of Mormon and the power that comes with reading that book. I know it was translated through the power of God and that those words are indeed true. Our prophet leads and guides us on the earth today, and if we listen to and follow his words, we will never go astray from that which is right and pleasing to our Heavenly Father. I know this Gospel is true. I am completely blessed by it every day of my life. No matter what trials come my way, no matter who disappoints me, no matter what happens to me because of my beliefs, the Gospel of Jesus Christ will ALWAYS remain true and I will remain faithful to my Father in Heaven and to Jesus Christ. I humbly say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach the four and five year olds in their class about our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I love teaching them about eternal families, temples, praying, and reading the scriptures. Their sweet personalities and spirits are so full of light and joy! In the past, I've played the piano in church with our church choir and I've also worked with my fellow young women in presidencies. I really enjoy getting to visit with other sisters in our church, and learning from their different experiences in life as well.
