Hi I'm Kadie

I have lived in Alaska since I was 16. I worked with my husband at a funeral home until I had our son. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to the man of my dreams...FOREVER! I am a mom and have one son, but hope to have more. I like crafting, particularly sewing. I like taking photos. I enjoy reading books, especially Fantasy...and there comes out my nerdy side : ) I have been learning all sorts of homemaking skills from canning to quilting. I find a lot of joy in making things I would regularly buy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the gospel. The world makes more sense to me with the church in my life. I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it and have found it to be true. I know our Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. I know that we have a prophet and who speaks with God and that he leads the church of Christ. I have seen miracles through the priesthood and know that that power comes from our Heavenly Father. I know that our Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of us, and that he wants us to return to live with him again. I know this can happen and that our families can be forever through covenants we make in the temple. I love my Savior and I know he gave his life for all of us because he loves us too. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church and that Joseph Smith restored it. I know this because I searched for answers and the Holy Ghost testified to me of the truthfulness. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon with an open heart and pray for it's truthfulness you will receive the same answers that I received.

How I live my faith

I have recently moved to a new city and have not yet received a calling. In the past I have given service to the primary, nursery, and scouting program. I enjoyed teaching children about Christ and all he has done for us. I feel our Heavenly Father asked me to serve in those callings not only for what I could do to teach the children, but also so I could learn from them. Because I was with the children I didn't always get to be among the sisters of the ward and get to know them. I feel visiting teaching really helped me to become closer to the sisters and we were able to teach each other and also serve one another. Outside of church I try to be a good example to those around me of what our church stands for. Sometimes I have a hard time sharing the gospel with others because I am shy, but I try my best to invite friends to activities and church meetings.
