Hi I'm Casey

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where I still live and practice law. I'm a husband, father and grandfather. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy hiking and backpacking in the beautiful mountains of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. I have traveled to much of the world, and enjoy experiencing different cultures. I am finding that what I enjoy at the time is just the beginning of what becomes my fondest memories, because I only do these things when I am with the people I love. The joy of my life is my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child, my mother took me to church, read to me from the Bible and taught me that we do these things to learn of Jesus Christ because we love Him. As I grew older, and continued to learn of Jesus Christ, I came to know through the sweet and powerful feelings of the Holy Ghost that Jesus Christ indeed is my savior and redeemer. I came to know that I have a Father who loves me and has a plan for me. My love for my Father and for Jesus Christ became personal and more real. I chose to serve God by accepting a calling from His prophet to teach His gospel to the people of Samoa. That was the beginning of what is becoming a lifetime of service. The more I serve, the more I learn about Jesus Christ. The more I learn, the more I feel His love for not only me but for all people everywhere. The more I feel His love, the more I want to serve. I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know Jesus Christ loves us so much that, as He promised, He has restored through living prophets the ordinances of His gospel and the priesthood power to administer them for the salvation of all people. Keeping the commandments of the restored gospel has brought me closer to my family and joy beyond what I could imagine.

How I live my faith

I have a deep belief in God, and strive to love Him by giving my best to help others. In addition to serving my family, I have been able to serve others through teaching teenagers and adults, leading organizations and congregations, and assisting others as they learn to do the same. These opportunities have led to my attending numerous camps, officiating at several weddings and conducting too many funerals. I have even been able to help many people with the physical labor required to move, lay sod and replace roofs. The best part is the personal ministering, meaning the one-on-one connection with people in ways that helps them grow, learn and endure the sorrows that occur in life, and the friendships that develop. My training in law and business gives me opportunities to provide advice and counsel to others who cannot afford professional help or just simply need some guidance. I live my faith by making myself available to do what I can to serve others.
