Hi I'm Chanel Conde

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Boise, Idaho when I was two years old and have lived here ever since.

About Me

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I grew up in the church and have been a strong member. Growing up I loved to play in the outdoors with my family especially when we went camping. I like to play softball, and ultimate frisbee. My passions are to read and cook. I went to BYU-Idaho and enrolled in a lot of there cooking programs so that I could learn more about something I loved to do. I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was up at school. My friend said I would make a great missionary and so that made me pray about going or not. I got the confirmation to go a week after I was praying when I was reading my scriptures. It took me a while to get my papers in but in May of 2013 I was able to complete my papers and turn them in. I got my call two weeks later but waited 4 weeks to open it so I could be with my family. I opened my call on July 4, 2013 where I was called to serve in the Puebla South Mexico Mission speaking Spanish. I am so excited to go serve the people of Puebla and am looking forward to forwarding the work of the Lord and sharing the gospel with so many. I can't wait to be a missionary of the Lord. I KNOW that this church is the only true church on this earth today, and that the Book of Mormon is true I am so excited to go teach everybody about the truthfulness of the gospel and that they can live with there families for forever not just hear on this earth but also after. I LOVE THE CHURCH!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of this church when I was at the young age of 8 years old. I have chosen to be a member because I have noticed the happiness it brings to my life. During High School I went through a rough patch of rebelling against the church, it was only a short time because I realized the light and happiness that came with this amazing gospel. I now can say I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I am a proud member, and I will never deny the light of God!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by when I was a youth I would participate in Wednesday night actives and then when i turned 18 i started participating in the single young adult activities where we would have ward prayer every Sunday night, Family Home Evening every Monday night and various institute activities throughout the week. When i attended these activities I noticed that I started to have more friends and that its fun to live in the gospel. This church really brings everybody together and I LOVE IT!!
