Hi I'm Hannah Nielson

I love to adventure with my friends and turn our funny experiences into comics. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 9 kids. I have two super cool deaf siblings and so I know English Sign Language. I traveled to Germany and have been to Mexico a couple of times. I have many interests. I love fixing cars, nursing, law, and even cartooning. Some people wonder why I have so many interests and I have to let you know that it has not always been the case. I started doing all these different things when I realized that I could do anything. For example, I hated dancing. But then I had some friends that were patient and taught me how to dance because they loved it. It took me a long time to figure out how to dance, but then one day it finally clicked and I could dance. And then I loved it and realized that most things that I do not like doing is because I did not feel like I could do them. So I am continually expanding my horizon. I am a sister, deaf teacher, cartoonist, wannabe world traveler, etc. Pretty much everything under the sun.

Why I am a Mormon

I firmly believe that God talks to us and directs us in our lives. He is not dead or far away from us but near and ready to talk to us. I have always been a Mormon, but I would not say I fully believed in the gospel. There were many questions that I had and I was not sure if this was God's restored church or if it was true. So I decided that the only one who could tell me if it was could only be God. If He said no, I could move on and try elsewhere. So one night, I prayed to God and asked him if the Book of Mormon was real and I had an overwhelming feeling which I cannot describe that made me burst into tears of happiness. I then asked if Joseph was indeed called of God; same feeling. I was so excited that I was already born into the truth of God's gospel and that I could continue on with what I was doing already. I'm so thankful for this gospel and for the knowledge that God speaks to the world today through a living prophet and that we are not in the dark anymore but have the truth to guide us in these troublesome days. I know this church is true and that Jesus is the Christ who atoned for us.

How I live my faith

I help out with many of our church's humanitarian projects, such as making first aid kits or quilts for those in need. The church has taught us that every soul worth is great in the sight of God and I want everyone to know that they are special and amazing and that every person can do amazing things if they put their mind to it and let God help them reach their potential. We can reach our potential by learning from others and by teaching others so that the world increases in knowledge. God loves us and wants to see us succeed and I want to be a part of that.
