Hi I'm Cathy

I grew up in Springville, Utah. I'm a wife, mom and grandma. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have had a pretty normal life. I finished high school, went to college, then married my sweetie and we started a family. We have 6 wonderful kids who married well and now we have some amazing grand kids. I love spending time with them. We try to get together often. I enjoy being a homemaker--cooking, sewing, all those homemaker kinds of things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and became a member at age 8 when I was baptized. Through the years I've learned that great happiness comes as I apply the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I see God's hand in my life daily and have felt many times the witness of the spirit that the path I am trying to follow is right and true. When I am making good choices and following the Gospel plan, I feel great peace. As I work at becoming like Jesus Christ and living my life as He would have me live it, it brings joy to my life. As I work to see others as Christ sees them, I feel a love in my life that also brings great peace and joy to my life. As with most people, I have had ups and downs in my life. But I testify that as we become steadfast and immovable in our commitment to Christ, He blesses us to know the way we should go, and shows us the path to Eternal Happiness. Being a Mormon has given me that great blessing.

How I live my faith

I like serving in our community and in our Church. When the Red Cross calls and is in need of blood, I try to make time to give blood. When the leader of our local congregation calls and asks for my help, I like to do what I can to serve there. Our Church has a cannery about an hour away and sometimes I spend a few hours there helping to can food for the needy. I serve in our women's organization. Our Church is great about looking after the needs of those around us. I love the feeling of community that exists where I live--we all try to look after each other.
