Hi I'm Nalany

I'm a small town girl with big goals. I leave in a month for my mission trip to Costa Rica. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I am a daughter, big sister, and friend. I work at a pediatric dentist office. My favorite activities would be travelling, painting, and playing the piano. Even though I may play very slowly and off key sometimes! I leave for my mission trip in a month and couldn't be more excited to go and serve and share the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this gospel is true. I know my father lives. I know that he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins. I have a testimony of my brother, Jesus Christ, and of all the good works he did on this earth. I have a testimony of the atonement and that because of Jesus Christ I am able to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and through him we were able to restore the true church back on the earth. I sat in the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, New York and I prayed to know if this church was true. The conformation I had received was so powerful that I could not deny it. That is something that no one will ever be able to take away from me. I know that when I pray, my Heavenly Father does hear me. I have a testimony of temples and of all the blessings they bring. I know that I am able to live with my family again and that we can be together forever. That even after this earthly life, I will be able to be with them again. I believe in this gospel because it allows me to be free of all the earthly matter that tries to weigh me down. I am a daughter of a King. I don't just believe it, but I know it. I am so grateful I took the time to find out for myself how great and wonderful this gospel is. I am just so blessed to know the fullness of the everlasting gospel and am grateful for the happiness and clarity it brings into my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being true to myself and my beliefs. I live my faith by performing my callings to the best of my ability. My callings include Ward Missionary, and Faith in God for Girls Teacher. I absolutely love working with my primary girls. It's incredible watching them grow, learn, and increase their testimonies of God's love for them. Not only do they grow, but so do I. These girls make me want to be a better me. So I can be the best example I can be for them. My other calling is Ward Missionary. As a Ward Missionary I have been so blessed to be surrounded by incredible Elder and Sister Missionaries who work so hard every day, and have been such an example to me as I prepare for my mission. I am able to sit with these faithful brother's and sister's every week and discuss the progress we've seen in families, our selves, and to share the wonderful missionary moments we've experienced during our week. What a blessing it is for me to be able to go out to lesson's with the Sister Missionaries and to help contribute to their work. I get to form bonds with these wonderful people who investigate the church, and it is amazing to see what the gospel and faith can do for them. I doubt my doubts before I doubt my faith. That is how I am able to be happy in a world that tells me to doubt my faith first.
