Hi I'm Shaylee

I grew up in Alaska, I live with my mom, dad, four sisters, and my one and only brother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 and have lived in Alaska my whole life. In September I will be a college freshman going to BYU Idaho. I love to hang out with friends but I know when I have to be serious. Im getting my degree in animal and veterinarian science and then I'm hoping to get into a vet school. I like to go on bike rides and go rollerblading with family and friends. In the winter, I like to build snow forts, go sledding, and help with my sisters dog sled team.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church my whole life. As a little kid, I would sit in meeting and color on whatever I could find. As a grew older, I realized how much this church has blessed me. The people that I see at church are kind and understanding. As I read my scriptures every night and every morning I get to feel the spirit warm my heart and this always helps my day be better every week. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he cares for every single one of his children. I have witnessed the great work that God can do if I stay faithful to the words of the prophet and honor my mother and father. These are the things I believe and my spirit is going stronger everyday because of it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings in the church. I was recently the president of the laurel class in Young Women's. It is such a blessing to be working with these young girl and making the spirit grow. I have had the opportunity to help the younger children learn the lessons of the gospel. Children are so welcoming to what they hear. They believe in what we teach then. They are so blessed to be in this church.
