Hi I'm Dave

I'm a snowboarder, I'm a skateboarder, I'm a motorcycle rider, I'm a poet, I'm a husband, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

So, a little bit about me... ever since I was a kid, i have loved, extreme sports, and art. I don't know particularly what pulled me so strong toward those things, its as natural as breathing. When I was eight and they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I said I want to be a professional snowboarder, or a stunt man for movies. My life goals since then have changed a bit. But I still love the feeling of pushing myself as best I can, in the the sports, the arts, and the music that I love. I was married about one year ago, and I cant help but say I married up, She is literally the most amazing person I have ever met! And is my very best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I read the book, prayed about it and God answered, "its true".

How I live my faith

I live it, in my everyday life. I live it in the way I treat people, Christ was one who lifted all those he met. And I do my best to do the same. I live my faith through smiling, even when it seems life is bent on making me fail. I live my faith through prayer, God is always willing to listen, and considering He knows the end from the beginning I figure He is a pretty good person to ask. I live my faith, through trust in God, and in myself, what i mean is, when it feels right following my intuition. Trusting that if I do my part, and work as hard as I can, it will all work out. It just has too. I like that quote.. and I'm paraphrasing that the prophet Joseph Smith said, If I was tossed to bottom of the ocean with the Rocky Mountains pilled on top of me, I would move forward in good faith knowing that I would come out on top. I like to think that I am developing that kind of character. And the fact of the matter is, because Christ died for me, there is no way I can fail if I trust Him. Now I know I am imperfect, almost hilariously imperfect that fact is always before me, but I don't have to be perfect because He is. I have always believed in God, I will always believe in God. Because He has always believed in me, even when I didn't deserve it. I love this church because it has helped me develop the faith needed to prevail all things! The Book of Mormon gives me, through its testimony of Christ the guidance and comfort I need to make it through many things. And the hope that I can make it through all things.
