Hi I'm Alex

I'm a communications engineer. I met my wife ballroom dancing, and have beautiful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of two beautiful daughters, with a wonderful wife and another girl on the way. I like to read, ballroom dance with my wife, and go running. I play the piano, the trombone, the tuba, and love to sing. I graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering three years ago, and now work as a communications engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church. I was raised by parents who were Mormons, but when I was twelve I decided to find out for myself about whether this church was really Christ's church. I decided to ask through prayer whether the Book of Mormon was really the word of God, and whether Joseph Smith was called as a prophet of God in our day. I received such a strong answer to my prayer confirming to my soul that Joseph Smith is a prophet, that the Book of Mormon is God's word, and that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I have since received many additional confirmations, and continue to gain more faith in my Savior. He is the Light and Life of the world, and through him my life has peace. Despite trials and hard times in life, I always know that I can rely on Christ. My life is so much richer because I have His perfect example to follow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily practice of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to study the example of my Savior every day through the scriptures, and I enjoy listening to the teachings of his modern day prophets, and try to apply what I learn at work and in my own home. I help to organize home teaching in the ward where I live, trying to serve those who may be in need. I love having the chance to visit with my neighbors, learning about their lives, and trying to strengthen them through hard times by having faith in Jesus Christ.
