Hi I'm Dalton

I'm a competitive swimmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a competitive swimmer. I have been since I joined a local swim club my Sophomore year of High School. I grew up in the Church having a mom, and step-father who both have very strong testimonies of the truth of the gospel. I love them and wouldn't be who I am today without their loving guidance in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always believed that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true church of Jesus. When I was younger, around 7 or so, my Mother was wanting to marry my step-Father. My sister and I were supposed to call our Father, who lives in Ohio, because he wanted to talk to us and ask us how we felt about the whole thing. My sister talked to him first and when it was my turn, I didn't know what to say. I was worried and scared that by my Mother re-marrying, he wouldn't be my Father anymore. So, my Mom asked me to pray about it. I was left alone to pray and when I did, I was overcome with a strong feeling. A powerful one. It was literally a burning in my chest. It didn't hurt. It was comforting. It was at that moment that I knew that it was important that my Mother needed to marry my step-Father and that we as a family be sealed for all time and eternity in the Temple. I will never forget that experience and that the Lord does answer prayers. I've also read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and prayed about the truthfulness of it. I received an answer and personal revelation confirming that it is true. I know for a fact that this is the one true Church out there. You won't find another like this one. I challenge everyone who reads this, especially those who are investigating or just trying to learn about the church to contact your local Missionaries and to read the Book of Mormon to find out for themselves. I promise you, that you too can feel the Holy Spirit confirming the truthfulness of the gospel to you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example of Christ in my words, actions, and thoughts. I am serving in my ward as a primary teacher to the 8 and 9 year olds with my father and I absolutely love it. Teaching younger kids the gospel so that eventually, they too can develop their own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, we are. 2 Nephi 25:26 states: "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." We try our best to live by Christ's teachings and follow His example. If that doesn't make you a Christian, I don't know what does. Show more Show less
