Hi I'm Dan Bodily

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm Dan Bodily. I'm married to Ellie, we've been married to 31 years. We are the parents of 4 children who are the source of great joy in our lives. I work as an account manager for a safety company in Salt Lake City.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is very important to me, it provides a blueprint for peace and joy in this life and beyond our physical death. If I were to focus on the principles that give me the most peace and joy it would be the Savior Jesus Christ, His role as savior and redeemer and the eternal nature of families. First, and most importantly, I know through Jesus Christ and his atonement I can be resurrected and live with Him again! It's though Christ, His grace, love and mercy, I am saved. I know that through the pain Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross I can be forgiven of my sins. Further, I know no matter how many times I fall short and sin, He still loves me and I can be made clean and be with Him again. That knowledge brings peace to my mind and joy to my heart. Secondly, the eternal nature of families. For me, heaven wouldn't be heaven without my wife and children with me. It doesn't make sense to me that a loving Heaven Father, who teaches us the sanctity of marriage and the importance of family, would cause that association to end at death. I know the sealing power Christ gave to Peter (to seal on earth and it would be bound in heaven) is here on the earth today. That family relationship doesn't end at death families can be forever! That brings me peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I'm serving at Brigham Young University and work closely with young adults there. We focus on service, leadership and living a Christ-like life. The young people I work with help and inspire me much more that I help them.
