Hi I'm Jack Tooley

I was born and raised in an LDS family in Bountiful Utah, I love to play sports and be outside, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, graduated high school and I am now on my full time mission in Santa Rosa California. I grew playing all kinds of sports, camping all the time, boating, and other vacations. I am from a family of 5 kids and 2 loving parents. I have an older sister, who also served a mission. We are the first in our family. Then three younger brothers are some of my best friends! I love my family so much and appreciate all they do for me in helping become the best person i can possibly be. They are the most important thing in the world to me and wouldn't be who I am if they hadn't helped me to get to be where I am now. "You cant become who you want to be, by remaining who you are."

Why I am a Mormon

Why am i a Mormon? I found myself asking this question just a few months ago. I honestly didnt know why i was, i figured it was because it was what i grew up to know and i didn't argue. But it was just recently that i realized the blessings that this Gospel truly brings to me and can bring to any who desire it. I just recently have gained my testimony of this church, and the truthfulness that it brings. It brings you joy beyond anything you can imagine. It gives you guidelines to live in such a way that will bring you to know yourself better, strengthen your family, and your realationship with God, our eternal Heavenly Father. This is why i have decided to serve a mission today, not only because it was what i am supposed to do, but because i believe it would be selfish of me to know what i know, and not have a desire to bring that same joy, peace, and happiness to the people of California. I am grateful for these feelings and desires that i have gained. I am grateful for the blessings in which the Gospel brings me and my family. I have a testimony that this is the true Chruch of God. That families can be together for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do as I covenanted I would by "stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things." I do my best to live the standards within the church and by helping others do the same. I try everyday to deepen my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ by reading my scriptures and praying fervently. As a missionary, and really as any member of the church we have infinite opportunities to share our testimonies or serve others as our Savior would do.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Jack Tooley
We have been sent to earth, to really gain experience. Heavenly Father didnt have to, but what he wants to see in all of us is growth, change, or progression. TO CHOOSE! We are here on Earth to follow the teachings that we have been provided with so that we may return to live with Him again. Show more Show less
