Hi I'm Victor

I'm married and have 6 kids. I'm a Clinical Social Worker in the Air Force. I love photography and playing the piano.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona, and moved to St. George, Utah when I was 16. I served a two-year mission in the Porto, Portugal mission. I speak fluent Portuguese. I graduated from BYU, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Air Force. My Air Force career has blessed me with opportunities to life in the Azores, Germany, Japan, Korea, as well as in the U.S. in Georgia, Arizona, and California. My wife and I have 6 wonderful kids. We enjoy traveling and spending time together. I enjoy photography, piano, and now I'm trying to learn to play guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. When I was in the Missionary Training Center preparing to go on a two-year mission to Portugal, I really had to decide for myself if the Gospel I was getting ready to teach was true. After praying, fasting, and studying, I received a personal witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, the restoration of Christ's Church through Joseph Smith, and modern-day prophets. I've had other faith-building experiences since then, but that first witness cemented my faith, and I have never doubted since.

How I live my faith

My faith is extremely important to me. I was born and raised in the Church, and I'm grateful that my parents were faithful Church members. I try to attend Church every Sunday, even when I'm traveling. My family and I try to pray together and read scriptures each day. I have had various "callings" (assignments) in the Church, and enjoy having the opportunity to serve, whether it's teaching the children, or being a Scoutmaster, or playing the organ.
