Hi I'm Kim

I grew up in the church in Utah. I love to play the piano and organ. I can also play the clarinet. I like sewing.

About Me

I have been married for 25 years to a wonderful man. We have 4 children. I love hanging out with my family. We are not perfect but I think we are fun. I am also a Type 1 Diabetic, Have been for the last 30 years. I love to go to church and play the organ. I love to sew, not as good as my mother but I can get the job done. Made my daughters' dance dresses this last year. Get to do the same thing this year for 2 daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I have listened to others talk about their churches but I find I love the church because it is the same as it was when Jesus was on the earth. Yes somethings are different. We now have the internet, telephones, vehicles, running water and bathrooms in the house. But the basic principals are the same. What is taught just makes sense. I remember thinking about things and comparing them to what I have learned about other religions and their beliefs. In my mind what I have learned in the LDS church makes better sense. I don't know if this is a good explanation but for now it will have to do. I do know I am not perfect but the church has taught that none of us are. That is why we are here on earth to learn and grow. Life will never be easy but it will definitely be worth it.

How I live my faith

In the last few years I served in the Young Women's organization as Secretary. Had lots of fun with the young women. Then I went to Primary where I was able to teach the 8 yr olds. We had a class of all girls. They were alot of fun, and I think they know more at their age than I did when I was 8. I am now the Ward Chorister. So I get to stand up and wave my arms around each week, except for the week that I get to play the organ. I am just starting the Book of Mormon over again. I love to read it and each time I always find something new or something that I did not realize the last time. Conference is a great time of year because the talks are wonderful and always informative and uplifting.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are Christians. We have Christ as the cornerstone of our religion. We study him each week in Sunday School. We discuss ways that we can be more like him. I love Jesus Christ he is my older brother, he died for me that I might live again. I am not perfect and I make mistakes all the time, but with the lord I am able to repent and if I keep working on my imperfections maybe one day with his help I will be able to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again, with my whole family.
