Hi I'm Spencer Coakwell

I grew up as a military brat and world traveler. I am a student at Brigham Young University studying film. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My father is a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force. So my family has moved about every 3 years. I have lived in cool places like Japan, England, Italy, and Germany. Right now I attend Brigham Young University studying film and I love it. I have done video stuff since high school and that is why I want to continue by studying film. I also enjoy playing guitar; I usually write my own songs. I enjoy photography as well. My favorite place that I have lived is either Germany or Italy. I probably had the most fun living in Germany but I really loved the Italian culture. I miss all the pizza and gelato! I grew up in the LDS faith but since moving out of the house and serving a mission I have come to know more and more the truth that it brings. This religion has formed who I am today and is a huge aspect of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of this gospel. I know that it is true. I know that we have living prophets and apostles of The Lord that speak to us today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know these things because I have prayed about them and I have received my own personal revelation that they are indeed true. Above all else, even without the testimony that I have received and grown, I am a Mormon because I know that I am the best that I can possible be because of this church and this gospel. I am the best I can be because Jesus died for me so that I may be able to repent, become better, and eventually return to live with Him. This religion has really taught me how to strengthen my relationship with Christ which I think is really the most important aspect of religion.

How I live my faith

This wonderful gospel is really apart of who I am. I can't help it. So I believe I live my faith everyday with everything I do. You know, I also go to church meetings and all that good stuff. But I believe that living by my faith is more than just doing those things. It is really about making your faith apart of who you are.
