Hi I'm Virginia

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was taught as a child about Jesus Christ and know He is my Savior.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a mother of four girls and one boy. My ancestors were pioneers who came to Utah years ago settling Salt Lake City. I love music and playing the piano. A big part of my time is spent as a service missionary helping people find employment. My hobbies are sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading. I love books and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon faith. But I had to learn for myself that the gospel was true. I learned to pray as a child and believed Jesus was there hearing what I said. Later in life, I prayed for a knowledge that what I was taught really worked. Sometimes I wanted control of situations that were painful and I learned God heard my prayers but taught me all things are not for me to control but I learned how to survive them. Prayer has been a real blessing. It was through these experiences I gained my testimony that I was not here alone. I learned that we all make mistakes but when we do, it is not the end. He forgives us and shows us how to move on. How to begin again. He shows us how to make it, one step at a time, one minute at a time and then on and on. I promise you, God hears our prayers and is aware of our needs. Life is not easy but it is easier with God. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love being a Mormon because it makes me be a better person, teaches me how to live in peace with others and how to forgive. Because of my religion, I know where I came from and that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I know I was part of a heavenly family and was loved. My Savior, Jesus Christ is the Son of God and gave His life for my sins to be forgiven. I live in this time to learn of God and Jesus Christ and keep the commandments given to us by the prophets. While I am here on the earth, I can try to live a forgiving life, like Jesus did, in peace and harmony with others. I enjoy helping others and giving my time to those who need an extra pair of hands at times. I like to bring them a loaf of fresh baked.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

This is how Jesus Christ organized His church in His time. When the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized in 1830, it was organized just like the original church Jesus had. Show more Show less
