Hi I'm Kaylee

I'm a California girl with hopes to travel. I'm a lover of books, kittens, puppies, and desserts. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an average town, with an amazing family, and had a pretty average life. I was born and raised in Central California where the trees grow tall and the water runs short. I attended BYU for two years before leaving to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Montevideo, Uruguay for 18 months. After I return, I hope to major in Communication Disorders and eventually become a registered Speech Pathologist. I enjoy hanging out with friends, watching movies, reading books, and baking. In high school I was involved in marching band. I play clarinet, piano, and tenor sax, but my favorite has to be the triangle. I was also treasurer of the baking club, which shows you how much I love to bake. I have an awesome family with two loving parents, three sisters, and a brother. In addition, I have two great brother-in-laws and two precious nieces that I love so dearly.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've never been more sure about anything in my life than I am that this church is true. I have been a Mormon my entire life and could not be happier. The people in this church are so happy, you can see love shining out of all of their eyes. This is because their knowledge of the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the sweet spirit I feel when I am reading the scriptures or am around others of my faith. I'm a Mormon because this truly is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through Him, we can be saved and live with our families forever. The sweet knowledge that I will be with my family throughout the eternities makes me so joyous and helps ease the sting that comes when a loved one dies. I love my Savior and am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I feel that the best way to live my faith is to constantly be an example to those around me. I strive to always live up to my Father in Heaven's expectations for me. I am always trying to keep the commandments and be an example of a Christlike individual, so that others around me can see my beliefs just by seeing the way I choose to live my life. I try to be an influence for good and righteousness in all that I do and say. How I live my faith is living by faith. We can't know everything at this point in time, but it is important to have faith that as long as we continue to be righteous and follow the commandments, we will one day gain our reward and be able to see the entire plan. I think it is important to keep hope and keep smiling through trials, because in the end it will all work out. I am also sharing my faith by serving as a missionary. As a missionary, I have the amazing opportunity to share the plan our Heavenly Father has for us with others. I love helping people realize how loved they truly are.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

The best way I have found to increase our faith in Jesus Christ is by following His example and striving to become more like Him. In order to do this, we must learn more about our Savior through faithful prayer and diligently studying the scriptures. Show more Show less
