Hi I'm Samantha

I am a full-time missionary in England, and I love every minute of it! I put my home life on hold to come spread the good word!

About Me

I am the oldest of my parent's children. my family is quite confusing, but to keep it short and sweet, I have five half-siblings, and four step-siblings. Before coming to England, I attended a year at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am still undecided about what I would like to pursue, but a few of my dream jobs include owning a bike shop, an archery shop, a bakery, a barbecue restaurant, a craft shop, as well as being a cloud photographer! I love children, learning, sewing, crocheting, being outdoors, and all things food! I am more than excited to have a family of my own to enjoy the little things in life with! I look forward to raising my children in the gospel and helping them to recognize the eternal joy that it truly brings!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been exposed to the teachings of the church from a very young age. My parents divorced when I was very young, and I spent equal time with them growing up. My mum is not a Mormon, but my dad would take me to church when I was there. I faced a lot of adversity in my later youth and it was really left up to me whether or not I wanted to continue to attend church myself. I did not really have a testimony of my own at this point, so it seemed easier for me to decide not to go. The spring before I was going to head to University, I realized that something was missing, and long story short, I realized that I needed to come back to church. I have never felt such a strong sense of peace, hope and direction than I do at this point in my life!

How I live my faith

I am currently devoting 18 months of my life to serving our Heavenly Father by sharing His Gospel with everyone in England. I have never felt more happiness and true joy than I do while sharing what I know and love with everyone that I meet. Before coming to England I served on the activities committee in my University ward where we planned activities for the ward members to come and get to know each other better and to grow closer to our Savior Jesus Christ alongside those who have the same eternal goals. I also served as a teacher for the Young Women in Alabama where I was able to be an example to them and to help them realize their own self worth and divine potential. The rewards of all of these callings are much greater than the efforts put in!
