Hi I'm Sahar

My family is muslim. I converted at age 16. I'm a life coach. I love health & fitness. And I'm a Mormon, and I love it!

About Me

I'm 18 years old. I'm persian greek. I am a dedicated, highly motivated individual who aspires to great things; because I firmly believe that I can do anything. Especially since I have a firm foundation in the gospel. I love sports, health & fitness, nutrition, reading, working out, nature, running, outdoors activities, cars, working on cars, learning, meeting new people, listening, helping others, missionary work, people, driving, church, and life. Someone best said it as, "Sahar doesn't like things, she loves them." And they were right. I'm a lifecoach because as I said, I love helping people. There's so much confusion and hurt in the world, and I want to go around and heal the world, one person at a time. I love psychology, so it's easy for me to understand others, and I believe I perceive people very well. I believe that when I help other people, I help myself more. I want to become a psychiatrist so that's what I'm going to school for, I also hope to minor in business. I searched out the church when I was 16 because I had met a couple Mormons, and the aura they had about themselves was unlike any other. Which I later found out was their spirit. I matured very quickly in my teenage years, so I had reached several conclusions as far as my beliefs went. When I started investigating and researching the church I learned that a lot of the beliefs the church had, were also beliefs I held. I quickly realized this is the true faith. So I decided to become a member.

Why I am a Mormon

As I said in my about me, I sought out the missionaries so that I may learn about the LDS faith. I had a couple friends that were Mormons, and they were different, they held themselves to higher standards and were so kind. I had everything in my life figured out except for religion. My family was muslim and try as I might to believe in their faith, I never felt it. It just wasn't complete. Finally some things happened that just made me start researching religion, I no longer believe in coincidences due to the way that I gave in to starting this research. I began meeting with missionaries, and I felt this light feeling. And each time I met with them after the feeling got stronger, I realized later that I was feeling the spirit. I read the Book of Mormon with devotion, and focus. I learned that a lot of the church standards and principles were beliefs that I already held, which many others that I knew did not hold, so that became of great value to me. I decided to start following the commandments, words of wisdom, and church recommendations just to see if it was real. So I began working in each aspect of my life to make it better, and my life fell together like a puzzle. My life before the gospel was great, my family was well off, I was good at sports and had perfect grades at school, I lots friends and was popular in the community, and I had great aspirations, I did my best in everything. However, because I didn't have a firm foundation, everything always fell apart. My life before the gospel and after the gospel is as night and day. It took me a little over a month into my research to decide that I wanted to be member. I am a member because I believe this is the true whole church on the earth today. And I believe the church standards are standards to live by. And that the Book of Mormon restored the gospel on earth today. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to learn of the church at such a young age to help me for the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the church. Converting to Mormonism is the greatest thing I have ever done, and will ever do. I have been so greatly blessed, and so I want to become the best so that I may serve my Heavenly Father and Savior in the best way possible. I want to be the ultimate member missionary. I go to the singles branch in my stake. I do my best to help the missionaries in my area to do missionary work, whether that be teaching others, service, or fellow shipping with current members. I believe in helping all the people in my church when needed because to me they are family. Not only do I want to teach non-members of my faith, but I wish to strengthen the faith of my fellow members. I believe in not only having a testimony, but in consistently being converted in the heart. I wish to be a great example for all those around me. And I know that God will help me because He grants all righteous desires.
