Hi I'm Katie

My name is Katie, I am a Mormon, married 53 yrs to Dan, we have 4 daughters and 11 grandchildren.

About Me

I grew up in an LDS family with one sister in AZ. I am married and have 4 girls and 11 grandchildren. Two grandsons are serving missions one in Mexico and the other in Washington state. My membership has helped me to be a better person and learned leadership skills as I serve others. My ancestors were Mormon pioneers and helped to settle Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 5th generation Mormon and have always loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. While a teenager I and 4 girl friends visited each others' churches and I came away with an empty feeling when I went to theirs. This experince made me stronger and I knew that what I and my family had was truly a gift. I know this Church is just what it is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and we follow what the Savior taught in his day and what he teaches today. We have a Prophet of God today that lead us and help us stay on the path so we can return and live with our Savior, Jesus Christ one day. I love my Heavenly Father and the chance to grow and learn of Christ our Redeemer.

How I live my faith

The church has helped me to be a better mother, daughter, and wife. We have lessons to help us understand our value as a woman and to be a leader in many ways as we serve in both the Church and our community. I am able to share my feelings with my neighbors and friend about my beliefs. I help other women to feel welcome and I learn to love them by visiting with them and being there for them when they need help, support, or just someone who loves them to listen. I visit them at home every month.
