Hi I'm Nelsen

I'm from upstate New York, I'm a musician, athlete, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love many things in my life. I love God, and my Savior. I love my family. I love this world. I love people. If you have memories about your life you remember the people that were there. I want to remember people who I love and who love me. I love music. My family is very involved in music and I hope to be a jazz musician, like my dad, but I enjoy all other genres of music as well. I want to play music for the rest of my life. I currently am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Long Beach, California. I am loving every second of my time here, being able to teach and testify of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't say I would be where I am today without my savior, Jesus Christ. He gave his life for me. I have had the chance to repent, and if I need to keep repenting in the future that chance is still there. The scriptures teach us of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us of his life, and I have had the wonderful chance to read the bible and know that Jesus really did live and he really did die. I know it. And I know that I will live again because of it. I also know that the bible has been translated into many different languages. From so many translations some truths have been lost. There are many things to be learned that cannot be found by reading the Bible alone. For that purpose the Book of Mormon has come forth. We have with the Book of Mormon and the Bible together, the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We can learn if the Book of Mormon is true by reading and praying to find out if it is true. This I have done. And all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints invite all to do the same. I know that from reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it many of my questions have been answered, many problems have been resolved, and all from the reading of this book. I have recieved an answer that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it blesses the lives of those who read it. You can know too, if you read and pray.

How I live my faith

I live how God and Jesus Christ would want me to live. I learn of what they want for me to do and I try my best to do it. I know I'm not perfect but that's something wonderful we have. Trial and error. I can mess up but it's alright because I know that I can repent of my sins. As I continue to try and do my best I won't become perfect here, but I prepare myself to become perfect after this life. I know that Jesus Christ died for me. I will be ressurected through him. We all will. I can do my best in this life to follow Jesus Christ and I will because I know that there is a life after this. And because I know that, I want everyone else to know that as well. I want all to know and so I do my best to serve, or help, or lift others up and hopefully allow them the chance to accept the gospel that God has given us. It really does help us and make us happy.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Nelsen
People call us mormons because we believe in the Book of Mormon. But the name of the church is the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. We believe in Jesus Christ. The Bible testifies of Jesus Christ. It teaches us of his divine ministry and miracles performed in Israel. It teaches us of his Atonement and death. We can strengthen our faith in Christ when we read this sacred book. The Bible teaches us of Jesus Christ, just as does the Book of Mormon. We can know that Jesus is the Christ when we read both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
