Hi I'm Joseph

I grew up in Utah. I play the Trumpet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing my Trumpet, and was in the Marching Band for four years, I love all sports, and can often be found playing in my spare time. I am a huge fan of reading, and often have to be dragged away from whatever book I am in the middle of. But above all I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong Mormon family and I have gone to church all my life, but I am a Mormon because I know that it is true, I have felt the presence of the Spirit while reading the Book of Mormon, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is true and that Joseph Smith did translate it through the power of God. I am a Mormon because I can not deny the truth.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission in Raleigh North Carolina, where I hope to be able to share the gospel, and bring peace and happiness in the lives of others, I try to be an example to others by keeping my standards high, and living the way that my Father in Heaven would have me live. I try to be a friend to everyone and love to see that happiness that the gospel can gives us.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The Term Mormons comes from the belief that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, a companion to the Bible. Mormon (An Ancient prophet who compiled the book, and from whom the name is derived) didn't create our church just as Joseph Smith didn't create it. They are simply people that God has chosen to fulfill a purpose in bringing us home to Him. Show more Show less
