Hi I'm Carlie

I'm a friend. I'm a missionary. I love traveling. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter of God. I'm serving as a missionary in Mississippi for 18 months. Before this I was a college student studying to become therapist. Traveling is definitely on the top of my favorites list so hopefully someday I will be able to cross off every place on my bucket list. I'm 6"2 so yes, I play basketball :) I love to listen to and make music. I love to cook, especially deserts. I love learning. I am energetic and exciting. I love being with people and making new friends. I just love life :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings happiness to my life. It gives me hope for something greater. I was raised as a Mormon and my family is Mormon, but that's only a small part as to why I am a Mormon. I've always believed that the things I've been taught are true. In high school though my testimony was shaken a little bit and I had to decide whether or not I actually believed. I challenged my self to read the Book of Mormon again before Christmas. I continued to attend church and seminary and do the other things I knew I was supposed to do. When I finished the Book of Mormon, I knew that this church was true. Since deciding for my self there have been countless times that the truthfulness has been testified to me. I have been blessed in more ways than imaginable. I know that this is the true church. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that He loves me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet today. My Savior loves me. I know that if I endure to the end and live faithfully I can live my family forever. This church is true and it brings so much happiness and peace into my life.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by serving as a full time missionary and inviting others to learn more about our beliefs. But before my mission I lived my faith by attending church and fulfilling my callings. I was a visiting teacher in my singles ward and in auxiliary presidencies often . I love to participate in family home evening and other church activities. I live my faith by being Christ like to everyone around me. I try to see people as He would. I strive to be patient, loving, and understanding with everyone I meet, and although that doesn't always happen, I try my hardest. I also love doing service, which is a huge part of my faith.
