Hi I'm Aspen

I love life. I love to laugh. I love people. I'm one famazicalitatious Mormon. BOOM

About Me

I love playing volleyball and basketball and I LOVE watching hockey. I would like to study culinary arts, english, music, psychology and many other things. I love, love, love to play the piano and I like running. I've been through a lot and I'm still going through trials, as everyone is, but my experiences have made me who I am. I LOVE to climb trees. I am so excited to liiiiive!!!! I laugh at everything, and I love to be spontaneous. I like to climb trees because I feel separate from real life and in a different world. I like to run for the same reason and because it makes me feel empowered; I feel like I could go anywhere, chasing the horizon

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, so I was taught the Gospel all of my life. But I knew that it was important for me to find out that it was true myself, so that I would not be leaning on someone else's testimony, and I can't just go along with something that I don't know is right and that I don't want. So there was one moment when I just realized, it's true: the Book of Mormon, the Restored Gospel, all of it. It was a strong, intense feeling that was emotional and physical at the same time, and I couldn't doubt it. But now I know that Jesus is the Living Christ, the Son of God, separate but one in purpose with the Holy Spirit. This, my testimony, is important to me because it gives me something to live for. I cannot imagine how people live without knowing that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them and that this life is not all that there is.

How I live my faith

I try to live every minute without regret, but not in a Hedonistic way. I want to act so that people can tell I know Christ. I am serving a mission right this second to bring others to Christ! I can't imagine living life without knowing I have a Brother who knows exactly how I feel, who will stand up for me, and who can help me deal with everything and tell me it will be okay. I can't stand the thought of someone not knowing there is a God when they could have if because of me. I think I have an inkling of what kind of love our Father in Heaven and His Son have for us when I think about how I feel about everyone I know. I want everyone to experience the kind of happiness the Restored Gospel brings me.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No! We are taught to help everyone we can! We are taught not to judge others except to keep ourselves safe, and to do as our elder brother Jesus Christ would. "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Show more Show less
