Hi I'm Tanner Balderree

I'm a starwars nerd, an athlete, very big kid ; and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old. I'm currently employed by the big man upstairs (voluntarily) in the great England Leeds Mission! I grew up in Detroit, but now live in Sherwood, Oregon, and I have three little sisters. I am a starwars nerd, and love anything with a lightsaber in it. I'm jokingly called a big 5 year old by my family because of my childish demeanor. I have to have fun and be happy, I also like getting others to smile. I enjoy helping others and love the rewarding feeling I get from doing so. Music is a big part of my life, rap is my personal favourite. I love shoes, but only the athletic kinds. I also love sports as well, especially weightlifting and playing american football. I want to study exercise science at university to go on to pre-med. I will be playing for the BYU football team when I return home.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of the relief of my burdens I have felt through the Saviour. I have felt only love and joy come from living the teachings of the church. I didn't see it then, but I see now how unhappy i was growing up, and how I was always searching for happiness in one form or another. I finally found lasting happiness in the restored gospel. My realization of this was slow, as I had always grown up in the church, but over time I saw a difference in myself. The change that occured within me is an amazingly positive one, I feel more comfortable and confident in life, and am guided by God in making the best decisions for myself. The immediate love and forgiveness I have felt time and time again reminds me how much God wants us to be happy and move forward in life.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving full time as a missionary and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. But in general I live my faith by helping others feel the love that our Father in Heaven has for us, and helping them to be happy, because I know God wants his children just to simply have joy. I look for chances to serve others in personal ways and go beyond what is expected in improving peoples lives.
