Hi I'm Kara

I'm in love. I'm a working mom. I'm still learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a medical assistant. I am the best mother I can be. I am a wife to a student. I love music. I am a military brat.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is what makes me happy. I had some time in my life when I wasn't interested in the church, when I wasn't doing every thing I was suppose to be doing. I wasn't really happy at that time. Yes, I would have moments that were enjoyable but, at the end of the day I still felt alone. I went to college, and met my room mate who changed my life. She also had her past that she fell away, but she had came back and was engaged and happy. She and her fiance' taught me a lot. They reminded me who I was and how I was to be treated. I was a daughter of my heavenly father. I should be treated as such. They taught me what to look for in an eternal companion. I didn't listen much until I came a cross a hand out from a youth leader years before. That had a list of things to do to make me happy. At the top of the list was repent, read your scriptures, and pray. I know it sounds cliche, but i tried it. It worked by the way. There were still some bumps in the road, but I am finally happy. I have been sealed to the love of my life. I will have my family forever. There is not a doubt in my mind that the plan of happiness truly does make you happy. That the church and it's teachings are true. That I am a daughter of my heavenly father. He does love me. I can ask him for help, or love. What ever I feel my family or I need. That there are living prophets, and they are trying to guide and teach us. That my family will be forever. That any one can be happy in any circumstances. If we do what we are suppose to be doing.

How I live my faith

I am in a student married ward. I work with a lot of the women in our ward. I have planned lots of activities for both family and the women to grow stronger and closer together. I love the women in the church they have taught me a lot. I love to go to all of the activities that are put together. I have worked with Cub Scouts for a small time. I hope to be able to help and teach the youth.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

We are normal women. We do what we have to do to help and strengthen our selves, and our families. Whether its working, or being a stay at home mom. We are there for our family and each other. We are equals in both our marriage and with in the church. We share responsibilities, and every thing. Our husband and male leaders support us as we support them. Show more Show less
