Hi I'm Joel

I am from Northern Utah. I grew up in the church, and now I am serving my mission in the Baguio, Philippines mission.

About Me

I enjoy doing a lot of things. I like biking, working with electronics, going to church activities, and more. When I return in two years I will go to Weber State University. I have worked with yard care, electronic maintenance, and janitorial work.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, that is not the whole reason I am in it. As a younger boy, going to church was something I didn't really want to do. It wasn't fun to me. But as I became older, and learned more about it, I discovered I really liked church. Dressing up and waking up early on Sunday morning is still a little tasking, but I am glad and proud that I am a part of this church because it helps me learn so much more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

From the time I was a deacon, I have been a secretary, counselor, and president of different quorums in the Church. I have gone home teaching many times to visit families in the ward and make sure they're doing okay. I have done service projects for many members in my ward, and I am now serving a full time mission in Baguio, Philippines.

Are Mormons Christians?

A Christian is someone who follows Christ. Following Christ means being the best we can be, and trying to be like he was, because we want to return to live with him. Christ is at the center of everything; our faith, our teachings, our works. Without Christ, nothing else matters- nothing. I believe in Christ with all of my heart and my faith. Show more Show less
