Hi I'm Lucas

I was born in California, raised in Arizona, but I call Utah home. I live for snowboarding and music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born into the church and grew up with good parents, but before I got baptized they got divorced. My step-dad is a great example to me now. I've always been more of a thinker than a talker and that has been a help and a hindrance to me in many situations. I live my life with others constantly in mind; what I can do to help be an example to them and just show them that they are loved. I absolutely love snowboarding, and music(making & hearing it). I like playing video games, skateboarding, and just hanging out with my friends doing whatever. They are a huge part of why I am the man that I am today. My career goal is to become an electrical engineer for the US Air Force. I plan on attending college when I get back from my mission to get educated in that field. I've always been told that I'm a smart kid and I hope that I can live up to that in my studies.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to remain an active member of the Mormon Church because I've seen it bless the lives of those I love too much to not know that it is true. I've also seen how it has hurt the lives of those who fell away from it. I know through confirmation of the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he saw Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. I know that Joseph Smith had many other revelations revealed to him and that through those the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was formed along with the restoration of the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it is here to help us gain a testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that we have inspired modern day Prophets that lead and guide the church today. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ atoned for our sins so that we could repent and make it back into the presence of our Heavenly Father one day and be spotless and clean before him. I know that the organization of the church is inspired by God and that even though the members are imperfect, the Gospel that the church preaches is true and will never lead you astray. I have a testimony of the law of tithing and the fact that you will, without a doubt, be blessed for paying your tithing faithfully. I have a testimony of the Word of Wisdom and the peace and comfort that comes from constantly keeping it. I know that prayer is the one surefire way to get help from Heavenly Father and that he will never leave you in the dark. If you pray every day you will feel the spirit helping your life. I know that feasting upon the words of Christ has helped my life and that it can help yours if you will read that Book of Mormon. I know these things of myself finally after relying on the testimony of my parents for a ling time and I am so happy to know for sure that I will be clean and pure when i go to see my Heavenly Father in the next life. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I constantly try to be an example of Christ no matter where I am. I seize every opportunity to do service that I can and am always looking for ways to bring up the gospel in my conversations where it could be beneficial. as for my capacity in the church, right now I am a faithful member of the church, but I don't have a calling or position yet.
