Hi I'm Scott

I was raised in Northern California and served a mission in The Philippines. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am self educated and enjoy reading a lot about our Constitution, The Federalist Papers, etc. I always stay in touch with my elected representatives to let them know how I feel about the issues of the day. My wife and I love to participate in Civil War Living History events and attend weekend events for re-enactments. It's fun to dress up for the period and quiz visitors about the "curious device" they hold in their hands (cell phones and cameras). This enlists some great humor and keeps things livened up! I love to narrate books for adults and children. My friends know they can count on me to narrate church productions almost on the fly. I teach the High Priests in my Ward once a month and have given a talk in church, almost at the last moment. I'm up to it and love the challenge! I am an Assistant Ward Mission Leader and Missionary and love all who we come in contact with. It is an awesome and humbling responsibility to hold this position that the Lord has set forth.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Lord and his gospel. I know that Jesus is The Christ and that we have a modern day prophet to guide us and help prepare us for His Second Coming. I love the Lord's Temple and it is a privilege to serve in his house. I am a Mormon because I have felt his love and power in my life. When life tries to beat me down, I am healed, cleansed and renewed by throwing myself into his service. I would that all mankind could experience the Fullness of His gospel.

How I live my faith

Sharing the Gospel comes very naturally to me. I can interject a gospel theme into almost any conversation by mentioning where I served my mission, the latest updates on Temple construction, or my treasure discoveries with family history search. I enjoy my callings in my Ward by teaching the High Priests a theme from General Conference or accepting a last minute assignment to give a talk in Sacrament. I'm always up to the challenge! My wife and I enjoy attending the Temple and come away recharged and ready to take on the week ahead.
