Hi I'm Julia Martin

I am a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the California, Ventura Mission.

About Me

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I am loving it. I serve in the California, Ventura mission and I teach the gospel in the Spanish language. This opportunity to share the true gospel of Jesus Christ is such a blessing in my life. There are challenges every day, but I wouldn't have it any differently because I know that the experiences I am having are shaping me and changing my life for the better. I am the youngest of seven children and the fifth to be serving a mission. I always love learning new things, visiting new places, and meeting new people. For me, the most important thing in life is following God's will and putting my faith and trust in Him. This is how I find true peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I chose to be. I was born into the church and raised in the gospel my whole life, but I have chosen to remain a member of this church because I know that it is the only true church on this earth. It is truly the Church of Jesus Christ. I have come to know this through personal experience. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed several times throughout my life to know if what it teaches is true. And I always receive the same answer. I can tell you that I know for a surety that it is the word of God. He loves us infinitely and unconditionally. He is our Father. This gospel brings me so much comfort and joy. I know that through living the gospel, we can be with our families forever.

How I live my faith

I believe in serving others and making others happy. It is important to take care of ourselves, but it is also important to see others as Christ would see them. Every person I come in contact with is my brother or sister and it's important to treat them as such. It is what Christ would do, and He is the best example of what we need to become in this life. I am definitely not perfect at living the gospel of Jesus Christ, but that is what I am working toward every day. To become more like Christ and to follow His example is very important to me. I know that this is the only way we can find true and lasting joy and happiness in this life and in the life to come.
