Hi I'm Logan Whetten

I have been called to the Guayaquil, Ecuador South Mission. I forfeit Division I scholarships to go. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports! I Played football, basketball, threw shot put and discus in high school. During my senior year I started to get recruited for various colleges to play football. I started getting offers but they told me if I went on a mission they would give my scholarships away. I chose to go on a mission because I knew that's what the Lord wanted me to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it gives me a happiness that cant be found anywhere else. I look at some of my friends around me making decisions contrary to the teachings of the church and they are miserable and wonder why. It starts with the knowledge that we have as members of the church. We know the answer to the questions of, where did we come from, why are we here, and where are we going? Its that knowledge that allows me to be able to hold fast to my faith and to know that no matter what temptation Satan throws my way it will pale in comparison to the blessing I will receive from my Heavenly Father from following Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to my younger siblings. I have a younger brother and sister and I know that they look up to me. If I'm about to make a decision I think about if they were watching me right now what would they want me to do. I want them to grow up and be the best people possible and I want to be a brother they can be proud of. I'm also an eagle scout and it took a lot of hours and hard work to achieve that but it is one of my greatest accomplishments.
